Essay topics:

The diagrams below show the development of a small fishing village and its surrounding area into a large European tourist resort.

Summarize the infomation by selecting and repeating the main features, and making comparisons where relevant.

The pictures display how a traditional fishing village and the coastal area grew into an extensive European beach and golf resort between 1974 and 2004.

Overall, this area has become much more crowded, with a population nearly seven times more than in the past. It was also clearly seen that the land was urbanized dramatically in the 1974-2004 period.

In the middle of the coast, the fishing village was expanded with some locals' homes surrounding the original village. These houses also separated the beach into two parts. Besides, a significant number of hotels along the sea were constructed with a capacity of up to 50,000 beds after 30 years.

Moving to the North West, the woodland was cut down to make way for a vast golf course. On the right-hand side of the golf course, the olives field was developed into private farmland only serving the hotels. In the East of the resort, there is an appearance of a colossal road which led the visitors to travel more accessible and spend a relaxing time there.
