The line graph illustrates the amount of energy consumed in the USA from 1980 to the 2030 projections.
Generally, there are six distinguish types of energy used in America between the reported period.
In 1980, 35 quadrillion units of petrol and oil were used by the American. The amount dropped to just over 30 quadrillion units in the next five years. After that, the figure increased dramatically, by 2005, there was 40 quadrillion units of petrol and oil was consumed. It is predicted that, the figure will continue to rise significantly until 2030.
The utilization of coal and natural gas also grew between 1980 and 2015. However, while the amount of natural gas is forecasted to remain unchanged in the preceded 15 years, such amount of coal is suggested to be increased to nearly 30 quadrillion units.
Both the use of nuclear power and solar or wind power in America experienced a small increase, from about 4 quadrillion units in 1980 to over 5 quadrillion units, and approximately 5 quadrillion units in 2010, respectively. The amounts are predicted to grow slightly to 2030. The consumption of hydropower, on the contrary, fluctuated through the period of 25 years with around 4 quadrillion units.
