The bar chart illustrates the percentage of unemployed woman in four countries of the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) from 2013 to 2014.
Overall, there was a gradual fall in the unemployment rates of woman in most countries over the period while the figure for Scotland witnessed a slight improvement.
In 2013, the proportion of unemployed females in England was the highest rate of 6.8 per cent, which is 0.7 percent higher than the figure for Scotland. However, in the next year, the female unemployment rates in Scotland rise minimally to 6.7 per cent, overtaking the figure for England of 6.5 per cent.
Whereas, Wales accounted for 5.4 per cent, the smallest unemployment rate of woman in 2013. The country with higher percentage of women unemployed of 5.6 per cent in the same year was Northern Ireland. One year later, Wales and Northern Ireland underwent a moderate decline by 0.4 per cent and 1 per cent, respectively.
