The graph below shows how money was spent on different forms of entertainment over a five year period

The graph compared the amount of money used for entertaining activities by Asian, European and American in 1995 and 2000.
Overall, the two most popular activities were publishing and television in both of three regions with a converse expenditure for cinema and video activities. Besides, people in the USA were prone to spend much more on amusements than Asian and European at the same time.
Firstly, from 1995 to 2000, people in the three mentioned areas tended to spend their money on publishing and television as the numbers always accounted for more than 80 per cent in entertainment spending. On the other hand, going to the cinema and making videos for amusement seemed to be unattractive activities in these three regions because only 5-10% of the expenditures were used for them.
Secondly, in 1995, the American spent 184 for entertainment whereas the figure in Asia and Europe were only 67 and 97 respectively. In 2000, while the expenditure level of all regions increased significantly, American spending was also the highest with 257, compares to 110 and 131 of Asian and European.
