Overall, the trend of visitors in the Caribbean island is increased in the given period. Among the tourists, the craze to stay in a cruise ship has increased while less tourists are staying at island.
Now turning to the details, the popularity of Caribbean island among tourists has increased between the years 2010 and 2017.In the year 2010 only 1 million of people visited the island. However, the number of tourists increased in next seven years, around half a million tourists incremented each year from 2012 to 2014 while the dramatic rise in the number of visitors was in 2017 when 3.5 million people visited the island, which was almost 1 million more than the previous year 2016.
As illustrated in the graph, mainly visitors choose two destinations for their accommodation. Either they prefer to stay on island or they stay on cruise ships. The cruise ships are much favorite among the tourists while the stay on island is less preferred by the visitors. In year 2017, out of 3.5 million visitors, 2.5 million stayed at cruise ships while rest of the 1 million stayed at the island.
