The graph below shows the number of university graduates in Canada from 1992 to 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph demonstrates how many people graduated from the university in Canada during a period of 14 years from 1992 to 2006.

Overall, the number of male and female graduates displayed an upward trend over time despite experiencing a variation over a short period of time. There were more female than male graduates throughout the period.

In 1992, there were around 100,000 women graduated from the university while the number of men was 30,000 less than that of the women. The figures of both genders slightly fluctuated during the first eight years from 1992 until 2000 with the number of male and female graduates hovered around 75,000 and 105,000 respectively. After 2000, significantly more people graduated from the university as the number of female graduates rose steeply to just a little below 150,000 at the end of the period while that of the male graduates steadily increased to just above 95,000 at the same time.
