The map below shows the changes that have taken place in Meadowside village and Fenton, a neighboring town, since 1962.
The given maps compare the urban developments that took place in the town of Fenton and Meadowside village over a period of 58 years from 1962 until now.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that over the period as a whole, both the towns have undergone numerous changes, leading to improved infrastructure, better amenities, and extended accessibility.
According to the given illustration, between 1962 and 1985, both the places had witnessed a noticeable size expansion, with road connectivity between the two, to further join a newly renovated main road running through the Meadow Village. Besides this, a new housing estate and an adjoining leisure complex were also established to the West of the main road. Furthermore, just to the other side of the road, opposite to the housing estate, a new super-store occupied the empty location.
Turning to the current time, both locations have been merged together to enhance travel. In this context, a station has been built in the mid-way to further connect the Fenton town. In addition, a business park and a hotel have been constructed to either end of the station, across the connecting road. Moreover, Meadowside village has been transformed into a suburban area.
