The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now and plans for its development

The two pictures compare the layouts of Islip town as it is now and the proposed changes to it in the future.
Overall, it can be seen that the town become more built up. The most significant changes are the appearance of different buildings including the bus station, the shopping centre, a new car park and many new housings which are covered by a carriageway. By contrast, the school and a house outside the road will not undergo any noticeable development.
Turning to the detail, the North of the town will change considerably in the future. Two shops will be demolished and shrink in size in order to build many different new constructions such as a bus station, shopping centre, new car park and new housing. Moreover, the main road that separates the two shops right now will be replaced by a road for pedestrians only in the future.
To the South, there will be the appearance of more accommodation such as new housing and a park of a smaller size. In addition, the carriage will be built surrounding the town while the part outside the way which includes the school remains unchanged. The building outside the way in the centre of South right now will be removed a little to the east.
