The pie graph illustrates how many percentage of the average household expenditures such as housing, transport, food, health care, other goods and services in Japan and Malaysia in 2010.

Overall, Malaysia spent more money in housing which was by far the largest percentage of all sectors, while health care was a category that people in both country did not pay much attention to spending.

A glance to the chart provided reveals that Japanese show more their interest in other goods and services, the figure for this was 29%, which was 3% higher than that of Malaysia. However, housing was different since Malaysia held first rank, making it become the largest percentage (34%).

On the other hand, although Japan had two sectors as transport and health care, which were also twice as much as that of Malaysia, they spent less money in food than Malaysia. It had only 24%, compare to 27% of Malaysia in food.
