Given are the pie charts contrasting the myriad sources of energy for electricity production in Australia and French, commencing from 1980 to 2000.
In terms of the fuel sources in Australia, coal constituted a half of total production with 50 units recorded. Meanwhile, hydropower and natural gas accounted for 20 units for each which was twofold the use of oil. In the next 20 years, coal became the main source for electricity production with 130 units exceeding the use of hydropower with 36 units. In the interim, oil and natural gas plunged to be the least sources of energy with just 2 units recorded.
Regarding the figures in France, in 1980, besides the 4 fuel sources, this country can utilise nuclear power to produce energy with 15 units which had by far the highest figures with 126 units recorded in the next 20 years. The figure of coal had stayed unchanged with 25 units but there was a diminution of natural gas with only 2 units although these two sources of energy accounted for the same amount in 1980. The amount of oil using for producing electricity in 1980 nudged up to 25 units while the opposite was true for the use of hydropower with 2 units recorded.
