Radio and Television audiences in UK, October - December 1992
The line graph show changes in the percentages of T.V watchers and radio listeners in the U.K during 24 hours from October to December, 1992.
Overall, U.K. people listened to the radio in the morning and watched T.V in the evening.
At 6 a.m., while about 8% of U.K. population listened to the radio, nobody watched TV. The percentage of radio listeners then shoot up to a peak of around 28% during the next two hours before declining gradually to 2% at 4 a.m. on the following day. T.V and radio received the same number of audiences at around 3 a.m. From then onwards, the figure for radio started to slowly climb to around 3% at 5 a.m.
The proportion of T.V audiences, however, irregularly increased to 15% at 2 p.m, when it was equal to that of radio listeners. The percentage of T.V viewers the soared to a peak of nearly 50% at 8 p.m and remained stable during the next 2 hours before plunging to only 3% at 2 a.m. on the next day.
