the table below gives information about consumers spending on different items in five different countries in 2002

The chart compares data about the proportion of consumer expenditure categorized by three items in 5 countries: Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey in 2002.
It is apparent that the largest percentage of outlay went on food, beverage, and tobacco. The lowest spending could be seen in the category of leisure and education,
Moving to a more detailed analysis, Turkey spent the most on food, drink, and tobacco, at 32,14%. The expenditure of those in Ireland was also high, with 28,97%, compared to Sweden's outlay which spent at least, with a mere 15,17%. Besides, the figure for those in Italy and Spain were 16,36% and 18,8% respectively.
In contrast, the expenditure on leisure and education accounted for under 5% in all countries. While Turkey spent most on these items, at 4,35%, the lowest point was seen in Spain with only 1,98%. Finally, clothing and footwear were the third category of consumer goods and outlays for those items were between 9% in Italy and 5,4% in Sweden. The rest of the countries averaged around 6,5%
