Dear Sir/ Madam
I am writing to express my concern over the expansion of the local airport, as it would have negative consequences to the neighbourhood in the vicinity.
Let me explain you the situation, we are living in a residential area that is too nearer to the said airport. The proposed improvement will make thing even worse.
Already, some people here have been diagnosed with a sleeping disorder, which is mainly due to the loud noises of the low-flying aeroplanes. Moreover, there is a school nearby where it has been recently observed that the plane movements in such a close distance are causing severe noise pollution and distractions to the pupils and teachers, eventually, students scoring poor grades in the exams.
As mentioned above the expansion will do no good to the residents, and for the betterment of the local people and school children, the government department shall withdraw the plan of enhancement of the airport.
I would like you to write a detailed report about the problems and disagreements over this recent development and lend your voice for our cause.
I hope my request will be considered positively.
Yours faithfully,
Akilan Palaniappan
