A friend from another country is moving to your city for work. He / she has asked you for advice about living in your city. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
• suggest an interesting part of the city to live in
• describe the public transport in your city
• say how your friend can meet new people there
Dear Jenny,
I am glad to hear that you have just been promoted the manager position in the new branch in my city.
As you know, the weather is in winter now and my city is little colder than other parts of Vietnam. Therefore, I suggest you visit Eaton mall as soon as you arrive so that we can buy warm clothes for you. You must love the mall because it has various nice clothes items with affordable prices.
You will be also satisfied with the public transportation as buses and trains in my city are so fast and on time. Every 10 minutes we have a bus or a train, so you will never be late.
I would say that, if you are a social and energetic person, it is so perfect for you to live in my place. You will be surrounded by five millions of friendly and generous habitants who are willing to pay you a beer even though they don’t know you. I recommend you to go Central Perks, my favorite bar, to make friends and enjoy our local culture.
Let me know when you are on arrive. I am waiting to pick you at the airport.
With love,
Wendy.
