A friend from another country is moving to your city for work. He / she has asked you for advice about living in your city.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
suggest an interesting part of the city to live in
describe the public transport in your city
say how your friend can meet new people there
Dear Nisha,
I am very happy to hear that you are relocating to Bangalore and my heartiest congratulations on clearing the final round of SAP.
As you would know by now that the office of SAP is in Bellandur, it would be a very good idea to stay nearby. Bellandur is the information technology hub of Bangalore and you will find many major offices located near to your office. It has plenty of options for food and accommodation with varied ranges of prices and quality.
Now coming to public transport, unfortunately, Bangalore has an extremely pathetic system. There are plenty of buses connecting different parts of the city. However, they are always crowded. There are metro service as well in the city. The timings of the train are well suited to the office commuters. Another option that is very popular with people in Bangalore is the carpool system. I will help you in registering in the mobile application and selecting a suitable plan.
Lastly, knowing that you are a very outgoing person, I would recommend you in joining some hobby clubs in the place. Bangalore has plenty of clubs which people often join to meet new people and spend some quality time outside work. I am absolutely confident that you will find something that matches your interests. You can also meet people in your shared living places and carpools. Hoping to see you soon.
Regards,
Madhulika
