I am writing with regards to my intent to step away from my current position to pursue other aspirations.
I have decided to resign from my role at the end of this month. It was not an easy decision to make as I have enjoyed this role to the fullest, however, it is time to move on to a new phase. As you are aware of my passion for the emerging field of Machine Learning and the role it is going to play in our economy, I believe it is the right time to make a switch.
This role has taught me the fundamentals of project management and working with a diverse team of professionals. Skills that would definitely hold me in good stead in whatever position I assume going forward. It is indeed difficult to leave a team of such highly talented and supportive individuals, all of whom I have great regard for.
I would greatly appreciate if you can provide a letter of reference, which will help immensely while applying to new jobs.
