You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour.
Write a letter to your neighbor. In your letter,
introduce yourself
describe your plans for the party
invite your neighbor to come
Dear Mary,
How are you doing? I am just writing this letter to introduce myself and inform you about my son Max’s birthday party next week.
My name is Karry and I have recently moved in next door in the house no. 567. I am a marketing manager and I have been working with the Royal Bank of Canada since 2010. I live with my two kids and a husband, who is a dentist and runs his own practice in downtown. My kids also go to The King high school and in fact, my younger one is in the same class as your son.
This coming Saturday is my son’s 8th birthday and we are planning to throw a birthday party in our backyard. It is going to be a whole day’s affair with live music and children running around making noise but be rest assured that we will try our best to not to cause any disturbance. The party will start around noon and hopefully continue into the evening. There will a BBQ station along with some entertainment activities involving clowns, magicians and mime artists.
I would like to invite you and your family for this party and would love it if you guys could make it. There will be other kids from around the neighborhood as well as their fellow classmates. The theme for the party is ‘pirates’ and you can drop by 11:45 am, which is when the artists will start their performances.
I look forward to seeing you and your son Peter here on Saturday.
Warm Wishes
Karishma
