Dear Tom,

I hope you’re doing well. I’m just writing to invite you to come and join my son’s party this saturday night.

As you’ve already known, my son, Jack, graduated from university last week and he’ll soon become a real doctor so I’d like to throw a party to celebrate his hard work which has made me really proud all this time. it’s also his birthday this saturday so it’ll be a two-in-one party.

About the plan, it’s going to be a simple barbeque party in my backyard. my wife will prepare a lot of beef, which is your favorite, and tuna specially shipped from her home in Vung Tau. We’ll gather around at my house at 7 pm and everyone is welcomed to have a toast to my boy before we start the party.

I know that you’re not going to skip my son’s big celebration because you’ve been the best uncle he’s ever had. Trust me, he loves you more than he loves me. What’s more, you’ve always been a good friend to me and we’re both too busy to catch up with each other lately. so, your presence is very important, my friend.

I look really look forward to seeing you soon.

All the best,

Truong
