The chart gives information about marriage and children in a selection of countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The chart provides information about the average age of marriage and the size of a family across 9 nations.

Overall, the most noticeable trend is the younger people are to get married, the higher the ratio of children per woman, with the figures for Brazil and the United States being the exceptions. Also, while the largest family size is found in Kenya, residents in Denmark get married the latest.

In detail, people in Kenya typically get married at 22 years old, which is slightly younger than those in India and China (in the mid 20s). However, it is also Kenya that has the largest family size, with 3 children per woman, whereas smaller ratios are found in India (2.5 to 1) and China (1.5 to 1).

This correlation is also observed in countries where the age of marriage is relatively older. People in Australia, Netherlands and the U.K all get married in their 30s while Denmark holds the top spot at 33 for marriage age. In these nations, each woman takes care of around 1.8 children. By comparison, Brazil and the United States do not follow the same trend. While nationals of both countries get married in their late 20s, their family sizes are remarkably large (around 2 children per woman for Brazil and around 2.5 for the United States).
