Essay topics:

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Patience is usually not a good strategy; we should take action now rather than later. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Some people think that patience is not a good strategy and people should take action immediately instead of procrastinating all the time, while others disagree. For me, I agree that people should be patient and take action now rather than later. My reasons are as follows.

To begin with, a good strategy makes people acquire new knowledge, and patience can make people learn a lot of things. For instance, when I was taking a course called Computer Security at my university, the professor required us to read more than 40 cybersecurity-related papers at the beginning of the semester. Nonetheless, after I was assigned the requirement, I spent more than 6 hours per day pouring over these procure and unfathomable thesis. Eventually, I learned how to spot weaknesses and exploit vulnerabilities when machines are running out-of-date software. On the other hand, I knew that my friend, Todd, decided not to participate in the class after hearing the requirement due to his impatience. Therefore, even though Todd was interested in cybersecurity, his impatient attitude made him lose a great chance of learning his favorite knowledge. So according to my experience, patience is indeed a powerful strategy, and taking action right away made me procure a significant amount of new knowledge and skills.

In addition, a good strategy should make people efficient in their work, and patience can undoubtedly make people concentrate. Take my cousin as an example. My cousin worked in a financial company, and he was an extremely patient person. To elaborate, his boss usually gave him three weeks to conduct his research on customer behaviors. Nonetheless, he always started to do his work right after his supervisors gave him a task. When he encountered difficulties like forgetting which functions to call in Excel, he was patient enough to look for a single function online using more than 2 hours. Therefore, his perseverance made him concentrate on his task and made him extraordinarily efficient in his work. That is, he could often complete his analysis tasks in less than three days. Contrarily, my sister also worked in a financial firm, but she tended to take action later instead of immediately. More precisely, my sister's supervisor frequently assigned her data-analysis-related problems. Yet, she often began to gather customers' data several weeks after she received her mission. Since my sister usually started late on her tasks, she often spent more than two months finishing her assignments.

In conclusion, I maintain that patience is a wonderful strategy and we should take action as soon as possible considering my points mentioned above. Of course, there are benefits to taking steps later. Nonetheless, I believe that my reasons are more compelling and persuasive.

---------------------
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:

para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.

So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:

reasons == advantages or

reasons == disadvantages

for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.

or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
