We categorize ages in different groups on the basis of age of a child and one of the group of ages is defined as childhood. Childhood is a period of years of age from birth to twelve years. Obviously, all people experience this childhood years in their life. Although some people believe that childhood years are the most important years of a person’s life, others believe that it is not important period than other periods. As far as I am concerned, I strongly agree with the statement which states that childhood years are the most important years. There are a few reasons for my choice. I have explored my views in the following lines.
First and foremost, childhood years are responsible for development of children. More importantly, it is deemed as language development years. In short, a child can learn variety of languages in this meanwhile in very short time. Moreover, researchers have proved that a child in age of ten can learn language very fast than any age in his/her life. Hence, it is important that a child should be exposed in suitable environment to learn different skills and languages. Parents are the most responsible persons who should decide the language to teach their child.
Secondly, children are dependent on their parents in childhood years. Children learn what we teach them. Also, grasping power of a child in this period is very high or reaches to apex that any other period in a person’s life. So, it depends on parents decision making. Hence, a good parent should admit their children in the best school, he/she can afford. If a child is exposed in the best school in his/her region, its growth and development will be very quick and rapid. Ultimately, his/her future will be definitely bright one. In addition, parents should teach etiquette another activities such as sports, because it reforms both mental and physical health of a person or a child.
However, some people hold view that group of ages which consists of ages from thirteen to twenty one is the most important period. They believe that a person in this age is generally term as independent. He/she can stand on his own shoulders. Furthermore, a person can take his own decisions such as deciding a field of career in which he is interested. Also, age of eighteen id the most important for a person, since a child turns into mature age. A person is physically and mentally fit at this stage of life and his productivity to do work is maximum. Hence, various companies recruit a person (at this stage) as a fresh blood for their organization to improve their productivity.
In conclusion, it is obvious from the above discussion that childhood is the most important period in a person’s life. Advantages of this period overwhelm over any other period of ages in a person’s life. As we discussed, child development, language development, high grasping power, learning power, etc features belong to childhood.
