TPO-15 - Integrated Writing Task The cane toad is a large (1.8 kg) amphibian species native to Central and South America. It was deliberately introduced to Australia in 1935 with the expectation that it would protect farmers' crops by eating harmful insec

The reader claims three possible ways to control the overgrowth of the Cane toad, is a large species innate to America introduce to Australia to support the farmer and provides reasons to support his arguments. On the other hand, the professor counters these specific points and present clues to call into the information in the passage. He says all of the suggestions are unsuccessful and have some weaknesses.

First, the reader discusses the build a bolder to control the spread of the toad to another area, conversely, the speaker casts doubt on this point by explaining the fence is ineffective because the young toads and the eggs are easily scuttering by the stream. So, this idea cannot stop the spread out of the toad even the fence is present.

Second, the reader states the destruction of the Cane toad by volunteers, however, the speaker argues this by telling that the Volunteers are professional and can not distinguish the Native American toad from Australian one, so this may lead to the damage to the ecosystem.

Third, the reader says the opinion of the diseases causes the virus in the toad. Also, the professor encounters that by telling this is bad though because the viruses can spread the diseases in the American and Australian toad together and that will intimidate the decline in both species. So all the ecosystem will suffer.
