TPO54 salt level

Essay topics:

TPO54 salt level

In the passage, the author provides three ways to reserve the trend that is threatening the lake's health by salty. However, in the lecture, the professor claims it is not realistic or practical from all three aspects.

To begin with, the author holds the view that we can use special desalination facilities to remove the salt from the lake's water. Nonetheless, in the lecture, the professor indicates that this action may cause health risk because the water may have some toxic things. If the toxic things are released into the air, it will be dangerous to people.

The second point the professor casts doubt on is diluting the salt level in the lake with ocean water. In the passage, the author makes the point that we can use sea water to dilute the salt level. However, in the lecture, the professor totally disagrees with that. He states that it is expensive to construct channels in such long distance, and the government may not have resource to pay.

Another evidence the professor provides to refute the author is dividing the lake. In the passage, the author considers that we may construct walls to divide the lake into several sections which are different in salt level. Conversely, in the lecture, the professor claims that this way can not solve the problem in the long term. If there is the earthquake, the wall will collapse.

To sum up, it is not convincing that three ways can solve the problem realistically and practically.
