many people have learned a foreign language in their own country; others in the country in which it is spoken. Which is better? Give the advantages of each and support your view point.

I think that learning a foreign language in one's own country is better than learning it in the country of its native speakers.

Language learning is a progressive process that embraced both vocabulary and grammar learning. Like human baby, beginner learners become familiar with words' sounds, structures, and usage in sentences by making mistakes and correcting them gradually. In this way, some people believe that learning a language in its original context, i.e. the country of origin, accelerate and enhance the process of learning. However, there are some disadvantages that make this option less favorable than learning the language in one's home country.

The first reason is that traveling to a foreign country is more expensive than living with your family. Renting an accommodation, preparing foods, transportations fees, and time to time family visits, altogether, result in a great amount of expenditure. Moreover, if the money unit of the destination country has a higher value than the departure country, it may impose additional fees due to exchanges.

The second reason is the emotional disturbances of being separated from the familiar atmosphere of one's home country. While learning a new language may introduce some stress to a beginner, home sickness will turn the situation even worse. Depression and anxiety dramatically reduce the intellectual functions of brain and make the learning process inefficient.

Furthermore, the people who speak and write in a foreign language fluently and perfectly did not necessarily attend classes which are held in the original context for that language. Especially as the Internet based remote education option is now available for many people around the world, experiencing the native atmosphere in which a specific language is applied does not require travelling overseas.

On the whole, I think that beside any advantage that learning a new language in a foreign country may have, the benefits cannot surpass the disadvantages. Spiritual and monetary problems suggest that learning a foreign language in one's home may be more safe and secure. In fact, the most important factors are hard work and enthusiasm.
