We’re spotlighting the five most popular songs in the Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart, for the week ending May 10, 2014.

There's cause for celebration today, because…after five interminable weeks…we finally have a new song in the chart!

It happens in fifth place, where DJ Snake and Lil Jon rise two slots with “Turn Down For What.” This marks Lil Jon’s return to the hit list after a long absence. Between 2003 and 2006, the Atlanta hip-hop star posted three Top 10 pop hits and three chart-topping rap songs. “Turn Down For What” is his biggest pop hit in 10 years. As for DJ Snake, he’s a French producer who earned a 2012 Grammy nomination for his work with Lady Gaga.

Falling a slot to fourth place is Jason Derulo with “Talk Dirty”. A singer named Anthony Vincent decided to have some fun with this song: he posted an online video of himself singing it in 20 different styles, from AC/DC to Ray Charles. You can see his video on YouTube.

Anthony also worked his magic on our next song: Katy Perry and Juicy J are back in third place with “Dark Horse.” Katy launched her world tour this week in Northern Ireland, and Roberto Cavalli designed her costumes. The Italian fashion maven previously did the honors for Beyonce and Miley Cyrus.

Still holding in second place is John Legend, with “All Of Me.” John says his relationship with model Chrissy Teigen influences his songwriting in interesting ways. Last year, John married the swimsuit model, and says he avoids sad songs, so people won’t think there’s trouble brewing in their marriage.

Pharrell Williams enters the double-digit club this week, as “Happy” marks its 10th week at number one. That puts Pharrell in select company. It’s one of only 28 songs to have lasted so long in the 55-year history of the Hot 100 chart. It’s also the longest-lasting champ since “Blurred Lines” spent 12 weeks at the top. By the way, that song also featured Pharrell Williams. You could say he’s on a hot streak, couldn’t you?

Well, let’s see if Williams can make it last - come join us next week for a new lineup.
