the article talks about the benefits of genetic modification of the trees an bring three reasons of support. however, the professor opposes this idea by rejecting each reason and bring specific example for her rejections.

First, the reading passages claim that genetic modification can increase the trees self-defense against ringspot Viruses. the professor states that also this way might be good for individual problems, but due to changes that happen to their genetic structure, they are not able to compatible themselves with other kinds of changing like climate changing, new pesticides which are going to use for them or some new insects. because modified trees are made for an individual situation not resistant to the different conditions. while unmodified one isn't like this.

Second, the reading states that farmers by using this genetically modified trees can have more fruit. because they grow faster and it would be a great investment for them. but the professor into the contrary said that if farmers want to use such this modified seeds, they have to pay costs of them to the laboratory where has been made.also, after the cultivation again by the law they have to pay the yearly costs of that. thus, it wouldn't be an efficient method for them

Third, the passage said that these Genetically modified trees help wild habitant be far away of declination. the professor opposes this idea by saying that. this way not only doesn't help the maintenance of the wild trees but also it causes an aggressive competition among modified and unmodified trees.in order to catch more waters, light, and soil to grow.
