The amount of money spent on housing was considerably high in 1950 than in 2010.In fact, household expenditure on housing declined significantly from 72.1% in 1950 to 22% in 2010.
However, by 2010, the proportion of money spent on food and other activities increased by about 22% and 17.5% respectively. Similarly, people seemed to allocate a great deal of money on transportation in 2010 compared to 1950. Although there was an upward trend in spending money on heath care services in 2010, it was not much obvious as other categories and it received the leased amount of money in the both years.
