The diagram below shows the stages and equipment used in the cement making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.

The stipulated chart illustrates how cement and concrete are produced through the various stages. Cement production involves a total of four stages, while concrete production consist of three stages.

In a cement production process, first the the raw materials, lime stone and clay are crushed using a crusher to make a powder form. Then it is mixed in to a mixer, after that it goes to a rotating heater and heated using fire. After the heating process it is then transferred to grinder for further grinding to make smaller tiny particles of cement. During the final stage, the end product is packed for further manufacturing.

The concrete production process involves comparatively simple steps as compared to its formal. The raw materials like cement, water, sand and gravel are mixed in a certain proportions. To make an ideal concrete mix, 15% of cement, 10% of water, 25% of sand and 50% of gravel or small stones are mixed in a large concrete mixer for some time. The end product will be used for construction purposes.

In conclusion, both cement and concrete making process involves some steps. But the concrete making process can be done without the use of much equipments.
