The causes of obesity
Human is the feature that constantly tends to chase for beauty and perfection. Therefore, the defects of appearance seem to be their unhealthy obsession and should be removed as soon as possible. Unfortunately, obesity which a number of people suffer the present day is one of them. However, before the effective solutions for this issue are discovered, its reasons should be absolutely covered.
Several explanations that are worth mentioning about this problem. First of all, obesity has its origin in overeating junk food being extremely popular among the youngsters. Junk food has diversity about color, shape, species, price, …, that is appropriate for all types of customers. Therefore, it is rapidly considered as a best-selling product and displayed widely in supermarkets or even large commercial centers. However, the customers are not aware of the risks for health these foods may cause. When junk food is consumed very often, the excess fat, simple carbohydrates and processed sugar found in this can contribute to many serious diseases including obesity. In general, it can be said that the growth of junk food has a strong influence on the increase in obesity day by day.
Secondly, physical inactivity also leads to obesity condition in human, especially the juvenile. The overload of studying and work may reduce the free time that they need to do exercises regularly every day. Even when they manage to do that, the ones who are mentally tired and heavily stressed also do not lose weight in short term. In addition, laziness in physical activities exerts a negative impact on the health and weight of a person. Unluckily, this situation is usually witnessed in the major of youngsters. They desire to eat appetizing foods, play video games all day, sprawl idly on the bed, and then have a sound sleep rather than immerse themselves in outdoor sports activities. That means teenagers just continually absorb nutrients from foods and drinks without playing any sports to consume excess fat. Consequently, it is the fat amount that becomes one of the main reasons for obesity.
The third reason may be shocking but scientists claimed that obesity can also derive from using medications. They are drugs used to treat mental illness, high blood pressure or heart rate, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetes. On contrary to popular belief that these diseases cause obesity, it is medications for these that result in weight gain conditions for patients. Medicine-related weight gain can have many explanations. Some medicines might stimulate appetite which certainly needs to be demanded. Some might exert an adverse impact on the body’s metabolism which plays a crucial role in processing the excess fat. Others might cause people to retain water, which makes them weigh more even if they do not put extra fat. The side effects of medications are not inevitable, thus, people should pay attention to their health and do exercises frequently to keep the body balanced.
In conclusion, the increase in people who suffer from obesity is understandable because of both objective and subjective reasons. Gaining weight is not difficult while losing weight is a true challenge that not many people can struggle to overcome. The best health care method to prevent obesity is comprehending its reasons, finding the solutions for them as well as intensifying sports activities.
