Essay topics:

Television entertains, but can it also educate?

Television is often known as a kind of entertainment for everyone because people think it just has music, film, game programs. However, it actually has an important role in education.

Firstly, television provides us a lot of information. There are many informative channels on TV such as BBC, National Geographic, VTV… whose issues vary from news to natural knowledge. I have watched these kinds of channels since I was a kid because their programs are attractive and easy to understand. As a result, I can learn English and many things in nature.

Secondly, television helps us learn many soft skills. This may be the most interesting point because it teaches us many things that we can not find in schools. For example, after you watch Master Chief, you will learn recipes to cook delicious meals at home or you can know how to survive in wildlife through the Discovery Channel.

Television can do more than we think. We should look at its positive effects, especially in education.
