Governments should invest as much in the arts as they do in the military.
Government have responsibility of maintaining a peace with other countries and safeguard the nation as well as encouraging an art which plays important role in society. Government should invest in arts as well as in military according to its requirement.
For nation, to sustain require a society of talented people from various background such as scientist, Writer, Poet, Singer. Overall development of nation can be achieved by investing in it. The investment required might be different and depends upon priorities for government. Art is an integral part of society which nourishes human's capacity of thinking and helps in developing a vibrant nation. In many countries, investment of art goes in development of cultural center, encouraging artist by giving scholarships and awards.
There are some countries in which their culture is dying because, they invested very less in art. Some countries are investing to prevent a local language from dying. For example, Hebrew language was moribund, after investment of government in art, it got rejuvenated.
