Dear all,
I am very delighted to join this site and it is obvious great efforts have been made here. I would like to share this essay question taken from insights into Ielts:

''Mobiles have changed the way many people communicate. Nowadays, people cannot live without them.
To what extent do you agree or disagree? ''

My question is, when we see '' to what extent...'', should we argue both sides of the coin? or Should we argue only ''against'' or ''for'' ,

Or probably either way?

Thanks

You can choose any way you mentioned above. There are no great differences.

Pattern 1:

para 1: introduction
para 2: In one hand...
para 3: On the other hand ...
para 4: conclusion and my opinion

pattern 2:

para 1: i agree/disagree
para 2: reason 1...
para 3: reason 2...
para 4: reason 3...
para 5: because of reason 1,2,3, so i agree/disagree...
