Vaccines have become an integral part of our life. Indeed, most of us receive our first shot when we are barely a few months old. This is because the process of immunization reaps scores of benefits for our economy and society. Nevertheless, laws obliging parents to immunize their children may impede their democratic rights.
On one hand, it would be unfortunate to see decades of scientific research go to waste if some parents willingly choose not to protect their offspring against diseases which have long been eradicated. Some of these illnesses are also contagious to some extent. As such...
