Dear Manager,

I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction about the poor services of your airline. I was scheduled to travel on 1st Jan by flight SIN145 from Brisbane to Singapore and I had a very important meeting next morning. However, I missed that flight due to a sudden cancellation of your airline. Until now, we haven’t got any reasonable explanation and compensation.

Although you apologized that you encountered an airlines strike, you didn’t adopt any alternative option for all the passengers on that flight. As a result of this incident, I had to cancel my business trip to Singapore, which might have an unforeseen consequence to our business.

To remedy this, I hope that you can provide me an alternative flight as soon as possible to Singapore and issue an official letter of apology. Moreover, I think it is reasonable that you need to compensate us the expenditure on the tickets. I believe this can benefit your company’s image as well.
