The two charts illustrate the number of digital 3D screens and 3D film releases in the world over the period from 2005 to 2012. In the line graph, overall, the number of 3D screen increased gradually from very few in 2005 to 3000 in 2008, before a considerable surge to about 38000 in 2011.
On the other hand, the general overview is that although 3D live action films were introduced later, it had developed more significantly than the animation.
