Given is the graph which illustrate the fish and meat consumption of a European country from 1979 to 2004.
Overall, the most popular meat consumption had switched from beef to chicken in a twenty-year period. There is a noticeable reverse as the chicken consumption increased dramatically, whereas other three meat figures gradually declined.
Firstly, starting with 220 grams per person per week in 1979, the beef consumption dropped rapidly to 170 grams in 1980, spiked to 240 grams in 1983, and then it remained steadily at 230 grams during 1985 to 1988. After that, the popularity of beef decreased continuously to 180 grams in 1990, to 150 grams in 1995 and 100 grams in 2004. Conversely, in the chicken graph, the figure started only 140 grams in 1979 and rose significantly to reach the first rank at 200 grams in 1989 by replacing the beef figure. Consequently, it continued to the peak at 250 grams in 2004.
Secondly, beginning with 150 grams, the lamb figure gradually decreased to 75 grams in 1994 and ended at 60 grams in 2004. However, there is a less fluctuation in fish consuming trend as its stayed slightly more or less 50 grams throughout the period.
