Overall, it is clear that the ratio of the population in the world living in city areas seem to have increased gradually for over three periods. However, North America had experienced an upward trend throughout the years as compared to others.
To initiate, in terms of North America the population in downtown places seems to rise, from 64 percent in 1950 to 79 percent in 2007 and expected to reach 87 percent in 2030.
