It is clear that hotel was the most popular accommodation in four nations. Additionally, self-catering was the second common type chosen in these places except Northern Ireland.
Regarding hotel and self-catering, the percentage of people living in England selecting hotel when they went on holiday was nearly 55%, while the figure for Scotland was slightly lower, about 52%. Meanwhile, the Scottish and the Welsh staying hotel accounted for nearly 50% and roughly 45% of their total populations, respectively. The proportion of individuals in Wales choosing self-catering is at 30%. This figure was nearly three times higher than that of Nothern Ireland, just over 10%.
Turning to caravan and camping, the proportion of the people in Northern Ireland staying in caravan is highest, just over 30%, while the figure for Scotland was lowest, about 6%. In comparison, inhabitants in Scotland choosing camping when travelling made up just around 7% of its total population, compared to over 10% of three other countries.
