The bar chart below shows the number of houses built per year in two cities Derby and Nottingham Between 2000 and 2009

The bar chart provides information about the quantity of houses constructed yearly in Derby and Nottingham from 2000 to 2009. Overall, Derby experienced an upward trend, while Nottingham showed also an upward trend. Both countries’ the number of houses built had some fluctuations. Although, Derby initially had a lower number of houses built, it out raced Nottingham at the end of the period.
The number of houses built annually in Nottingham was exactly 50 in 2000, being higher than Derby’ number by approximately 2 number. Then, it rose to almost 52 in 2001. However, the figure showed a significant decrease to about 22 in 2002. Next, the illustration demonstrated a steady growth during the next 3 years. It rose exactly 50 in 2003, then increased by around 55 in 2004, and rose approximately 80 in 2005. In 2007, it was a dramatic slump in the number of houses built, namely around 5. After that, we can observe considerable increase to about 195. Thereafter, there was a rapid fall nearly 12, and hitting a high-point of about 250 in 2009.
We can see that the Derby’s quantity of houses built in 2000 was just about 50. However, the illustration gave a gradual increase to about 55 in 2001, and continued to rise steadily till 2003, reaching around 90 in 2002, nearly 120 in 2003 and remained steady for the next 4 years. We can see a considerable growth during the next 2 years, reaching around 280 in 2008 and hitting a high-point just below 350 in 2009, out racing the rate of Nottingham.
