The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010

The bar chart illustrates the proportion of males and females in Australia in different age groups who took exercise on a regular basis.

Looking at the chart, it is clear that there was an oscillation in the number of people doing physical activities regularly on both genders. The percentage of Australian men was highest at teenagers, but then tended to decrease at the age 35 to 44 and after that, it rose again in elderly. In contrast, the figure for women was lowest at the age 15 to 24, which climbed to the highest at the age 45 to 54 and afterward declined when older.

With regard to males, the proportion of people taking exercise on a regular basis reached a peak of 52.8 % at the age for teenagers. This figure decreased by about 13 % at the age 35 to 44, which hit a low of 39.5 %. When there was a growth in age, this figure tended to increase and reached at 46.7 % at the age of 65 and older.

In terms of women, the percentage of them who doing physical activities regularly registered at 47.7 % in young females, There was an increase in this figure which peaked at 53.3 % at the age of 45 to 54. But then, the lowest proportion of females taking regular exercise declined and stood at 47.1 % in elderly.
