The given bar chart depicts the ratio of various age group Australian male and female involve in regular physical fitness activities in the year 2010.
To begin with, the proportion of male is higher in the younger age by 52.8%, while after age increases the ratio shows the declining trend. Similarly, in 25 to 34 age group, there is swift decrease in ratio by almost 10%, and 39.5 is recorded in 35-44 age group of male. However, after 45 there is slightly increase in ratio and reached up to 46.7% at 65 and over but still less than women by significant portion.
Secondly, female age group of 15 to 24 was recorded 47.7%, while is lower comparison of male, while this is only age group that male has exceed female percentage. Moreover, there is continuous increase in ratio 55 to 64 age group. The percentage accounted for 25 to 34 and 35 to 4 age group is 48.9% and 52.5% respectively. While, 24 to 54 age group is recorded as the highest percentage age group by 53.3%, but with significant changes in 65 and over age, the ratio decline by roughly 6%.
Overall, as enumerates in graph, female ratio exceed male in all age group in fitness activities except in one. It shows that women are more conscious for their helth and fitness comparison to male.
