The chart depicts the ratio of old age population of USA between 1900 to 2000. As per the US census bureau, the old age of their citizen start from 0ver 65 years.
Overall, as per the given information, the percentage of old age was gradually peaking over the time in the USA.
In details, in the age between 65 to 74, 2.9% was accounted in for 1900, when, total aged ratio was roughly 5%. Thereafter, the gradual increase is shown in chart and become 6.1% in 1960, remain till next decade. The year 1990, was the highest ratio in both, total aged ratio over total USA population and 65-74 age group, over 12% and 7.3% respectively. But after decade, total aged proportion decrease slightly by 1%, while, 65-74 age population decrease too, reached 6.5%.
As moving on 75-84 and over 85 age group, there were also shown steadily rising pattern on graph. Where, in first 4 decades, over 85 age people remain constant with 0.2%, but 75-84 age group increase from 1% to 3.8%. After 1930, both graph were upsurged and reached highest at 2000 with 4% and 1.5% in 75-84 and over 85 age group respectively.
