In general, females were more likely to do physical activities than males in Australia, and, in particular, in the age between 35 and 44.
Women aged 45 to 54 had a largest percentage in doing physical activity, at 53.3 percent, in contrast, men shown a smaller proportion in this age, with 43.1 percent of the total. Whereas young men had more passion for this kind of activity than women, with 52.8 percent and 47.7 percent, respectively.
It is clear that people aged 35 to 44 had the largest gender gap; over half (52.5%) women do regular physical exercises, which were significantly higher than men (39.5%). On the other hand, older people, whose age were more than 65, shown a similar proportion in doing this activity despite different gender, around 47%. There were larger percentages of women aged 25 and 34 and 56 to 64, at 48.9% and 53%, compare to men’s proportion, at 42.2% and 45.1%, respectively.
