The provided bar chart illustrates the comparison of the amount of electricity between production and consumption in ten countries in 2014.
At first glance, while nine out of ten countries contributed to higher figures of electric production than those of consumption, the produced quantities always outnumbered the consumption in Germany.
On average, the majority of both electricity production and consumption belonged to China, which accounted for exactly 5398 kWh and 5322 kWh respectively. Next came the US with just over 4000kWh for production and 3866 kWh for consumption. Russia, Japan, and India experienced lower figures for both data, but they were still higher than the rest of the countries.
Looking at the bar chart in more detail, we can see that the amount of electric generation was 233 kWh as large as consumption in the United States. In addition, there was approximately 119 kWh of electric production in Canada much more than in consumption. Nevertheless, the smallest gap in electric generation and consumption went to Russia, at only 19 kWh. Besides, around 56 kWh difference between the figures for electric consumption and production in Germany in 2014.
