Overall, China and united states were leaders in both production and consumption of electricity with huge difference in comparison to other countries in 2014.In contrast to Korea, Rep which had lower figures among other nations at the same year. In addition, all top nations produced enough electricity so that their productions were slightly further than their usages except Germany which used more electricity than its output.
China had higher amount of generation and utilization about 5,398 and 5,322 billion kWh respectively, followed by the United States with 4,099 billion kWh produced and 3,866 billion kWh used.
Russia, Japan and India occupied positions three, four and five in the top ten, with respect to generation figures [ranging between 1,057 and 871 billion kWh] and corresponding utilization figures [ranging from 1,038 to just under 700 billion kWh]. The final five places in the list were occupied (in descending order) by Canada, France, Brazil, Germany and the Korea, Rep at the bottom of list.
