The given bar chart compares the information about the amount of products which were generated by IT industry and Service industry in the UK between 1992 and 2000.
Overall, it can be seen that even though both industries showed upward trends year on year, IT industry surpassed the Service industry throughout the period in the question.
As regards 1992 to 1996, IT industry stood at just over 6% in 1992, slightly higher than the Service industry at 4%. In the following two years (1994), both IT and Service industries experienced a gradual climb to 8% and 6.5% correspondingly. Despite growing steadily, while IT witnessed a marginal drop to just under 8% in 1996, there was still a negligible growth to approximately 7% for the Service industry in the same year.
Having dropped minimally, there was then a sharp rise in the generation of products from IT for the next four years, rocketing to about 15%, which was the highest figure of the whole term. On the other hand, the Service industry saw an insignificant swell to 8% from 6% in the final four years.
