Essay topics:

The bar chart shows the percentage of international students enrolled in British universities in two years, 1990 and 2014.

The given bar chart compares the admission status( in percentage) in 10 different British universities over a period of 6 years from 2009 to 2014.

Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the enrollment rate in all but one of the universities either increased or remained the same over the period as a whole.

To begin with, in the year 2009, the University of Brighton, with 12% of admissions, led the entire chart, followed next by Leeds, at 9%. Further, whilst the other universities like Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, and Cardiff managed a proportional range between 8% to 2%, with merely 1.5% of admissions, Huddersfield University observed the least rank.

Turning to 2014, although with significant growth, Brighton continued to be at the top position(up by 1%), on the contrary, Birmingham witnessed a dramatic jump to surpass Leeds by 2% more admissions, reaching 12% by the period end. Over time, whereas Liverpool leveled off at 8% of admissions, Manchester reached on par with Liverpool, at 8% each. Furthermore, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Bristol acquired the same level(half of Birmingham's proportion) as against Huddersfield, who recorded just 3% more entries. By contrast, Cardiff observed a substantial plummet of nearly 5% entries.
