The given bar chart illustrates the proportion of people visiting cinemas in a European nation on seven day of the week in a period of four years from 2003 to 2007.
Overall, it can be seen that there were small fluctuations over three years. People tended to go to the cinema on the weekend rather than on weekdays in this country.
Looking at the figures for the year 2003, on weekdays ranging from Monday to Thursday, while Tuesday had the highest percentage of people going to the cinemas, which was exact 20%, other days were under 20% and the lowest statistic could be seen on Monday, at only 10%. The proportion of movie-goers on Friday and Sunday were higher, at 30% for both, and that of Saturday was double compared to Tuesday, at 40%.
Over the next four years, while the percentage of people going to movie theatre on Friday remained unchanged, the number of that on the weekdays increased slightly to 43% and 33% for Saturday and Sunday, respectively. At the same time, there were more people going to the cinemas on Monday and Thursday, with the figures increasing about 3%.
