The chart below gives information about the age of women in Australia when they gave birth to their first child in 1966 1986 and 2006

The chart illustrates the percentage of women giving birth to their first child in 1966 1986 and 2006.
Overall it can be seen that the percentage of women aged under 30 giving their first child dropped, while those aged over 30 saw a climb. In addition, the 30-to-34-year-olds made up the largest percentage of women giving birth to their first child.
Turning to the chart for more details, the people falling into the 19-to-24 age group accounted for 62% of the total number of first-time mothers, compared to 36% and 34% of those aged 25-to-30 and under 19 respectively in 1966. In the next 40 years, the 19-24 aged saw a dramatic fall to about 28% in its proportion of first-time mothers, while those aged 25-30 increased enormously to 50% before declining suddenly to 38% in 2006. Likewise the percentage of women aged under 19 giving birth to their first child witnessed a significant decrease to nearly 12% in 2006.
Regarding the other age group, In 1966 to people aged 30-34 made up 13%, in comparison with 8% and 3% those aged 34 to 39 in over 40 respectively. In the following 40 years, there were dramatical growth to nearly 45% and 30% in the percentage of first-time mothers aged 30-34 and 34-39 respectively. Likewise, the over-14-year-old peoples increased slightly to nearly 5% in 2006 after falling suddenly to about 2% in 1986.
