The chart below gives information about the most common sports played in New Zealand in 2002.

The chart gives data to us about most common sports in New Zealand in 2002 as percentage, and also ıt is divided as girls and boys. It is evaluated for cricket,athletics,martial, arts,basketball,tennis,netball,soccer,swimming and other.
If we look carefully, the highest rate belonged to netball for girls by %25 while cricket played rate was %1 as the lowest rate. To turn boys, most of them played soccer by %24 whereas %1 of who played soccer had the bottom rate.
To continue with, tennis played rates were almost same for girls and boys by %7 and %8 respectively. Then, boys interested martial arts as much 5 times as girls played rate by %10 and also girls had %2. Boys interested to swimming by %22.5 whereas girls had %13. Other sports showed itself for boys and girls by %23 and %10.
To sum up, boys played team sports while girls interested the individual sports mostly except the martial arts and netball.
